I hope you all had a good holiday (celebrating Christmas or any other religious holidays) and stuffed yourself silly! Right now I’m back in Toronto (I got back last night) and am getting ready to go out soon.
This holiday I made a few alterations to my skincare routine because I couldn’t bring some of my beauty products back to Hong Kong for Christmas but, thankfully, I found a few new favourite products from this restriction.
Aircraft travel really dries out my skin and lips – apparently the humidity in the aircraft drops down to 5% humidity on long haul flights (mine was 14 hrs and 50 minutes) and unfortunately, because my H20+ is over the 100mL restriction I couldn’t take it with me. Still, on my way to Hong Kong, I could not resist the temptation of Duty Free and went inside to purchase a couple of products: I ended up buying the Clinique All About Moisture kit that includes the All About Eyes cream (HK$230 for 15mL), the Moisture Surge Face Spray (HK$170 for 125mL) and the Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief (HK$340 for 50mL) – which I am in Love with.
What immediately attracted me to the products were the benefits which includes: “instantly boosting skin’s moisture level with hydrating relief via aloe in a high-speed delivery system, restores skin’s moisture balance and replenishes thirsty skin to smooth and soften“. I found that it did
My favourite product in the kit is probably the Moisture Surge which is fast obsorbing and rehydrates my dehydrated skin. Apparently it works as a five minute moisture mask but I applied it two times on the plane and kept using it in Hong Kong — the change in humidity also messed up my skin but the Moisture Surge really helped in improving my skin texture and making it look dewy but not oily
The face spray also is good for hydrating my skin — I also use it to set my makeup or wake myself up when I was out with people (I was severly jetlagged for the first few days and needed it to keep awake at times).
Definitely a holy grail product, I will definitely repurchase the Moisture Surge — the others are good products too but are replaceable (ie. I am still very much attached to my Evian Face spray and the Origins Ginzeng eye cream is still my favourite eye cream of all time).
