Thanks so much for providing individuals with an extremely remarkable possiblity to check tips from this website. It can be so sweet and stuffed with fun for me personally and my office friends to search your web site at a minimum three times in one week to find out the fresh items you have. And of course, I’m always motivated with the mind-boggling things you serve. Some 3 areas in this article are certainly the finest we have all had.
India has some tough anti-corruption laws, which is a good thing. But that doesn’t mean it has not been rocked by scandals. You might want to look in to that huge scandal of the way the second-generation, or 2G, mobile-phone service licenses were auctioned off.
We don’t have folks on the ground in India that can get us “first hand” accounts. But if I see any I shall let you know.
My teacher wants me to have a good topic, but it is hard for me to think of a good topic about corruption. It must be workable and debatable. Have any idea on the topic? Thanks
Im now considering on the second generation, it seems to be a good and interesting topic.
Perhaps you might want to look up Amarnath Pandey. Just after he exposed how bricks that were bought at six times their value for roads that were never built, he was shot dead.
One point you might like to raise is this: Corporations pay their top people obscene amounts of money because “they want the best”. Why then do we expect government officials to earn a pittance. Is there a relationship between poor pay and corruption.
Hi, myself and two other friends are working on a project regarding the crises facing the world in the modern era and their social relevance. And for its shear paramountcy and world-wide resonance we chose the diminishing food security around the world – the global food crisis. What took us was the complexity of the entire set up, how multi-dimentional the phenomenon is, the snow-balling effects of soaring food prices. quite frankly, we need all the help we can get! so we would really appreciate further input.
thanks
I’m working on a project about collecting tourists’ views towards travelling in HK in hot scenic spots like TST and causwaybay. It’s totally cool. Working while handing out with classmates.
I have done a couple of projects in my entire primary school life, from technology ones to environment ones, my favourite event is the general studies group work about MASS MEDIA! The expedition doing the research was stimulating and exciting.
My classmates and I searched a wide variety of info. about sectors of distributing entertainment and news to HK citizens. Then, we sorted out some characteristics of comprehensive well known TV and radio channels in HK. The journey in between was quite boring for most of the information was deleted or replaced in our final product…… The most enjoyable part was to express the procedures of producing a movie. We visited assorted websites to understand and interpret the details of generating a video. We used different kinds of methods to explain the steps, such as editing, dubbing, shooting and so on.
It was fascinating as it has widened our horizon and by the time deepened our friendship! In addition, the project adventure has developed my interests for my future career.
For English we just started a new topic: “Is rap a form of poetry?” And were assigned to write a rap in groups of 3-5.
Our teacher divided rap into two types. “Idiot raps” and “meaningful raps”. Idiot raps are those that are misogynistic, with a guy talking about having lots of woment, etc. Meaningful raps are those that actually have a meaning, such as talking about global warming, etc.
We were assigned to write a meaningful rap, and guess what our group is writing it about? Idiot raps. I’m finding this really interesting – maybe you could suggest this to your English teachers.
Raps are way cool. But only if they have a good message. Bad messages are okay I guess because we dun wanna stop freedom of expression and stuff. But when guys talk bad about girls, that really is abusive. What is sad is that some girls even think that is okay. It’s not. I’d never talk to my girl like that.
What an interesting homework, I wish I was given this kind of hw when I was small, so that I could discover my talent of writing raps at a far younger age XD
Back to the issue, I think the dichotomy of raps with “idiot” and “meaningful” is too subjective. In other words, it’s so subjective to define what are “idiot” and “meaningful”. In my opinion, the words “hedonism” and “criticism”. In the former category, the amusing content is covered. While in the latter one, critical thinking of social issues is included. What do you think?
We are currently working on LS project( Globalization). It is really hard for us to find information on different aspects of globalization.
Interent and books are good source but not contain relevant information that we need. It is also hard to analysis the survey and make a good questions
I am not working on any project, but I did submitted a group project months ago, I would like to share my experience.
I was working on a Physics project, every group was required to choose a topic, such as Optic Fibre, Relativity etc., and then gave a presentation on the chosen topic. My group have chosen Energy Saving Light Blub for the project.
At first, we mainly search information from Wikipedia. It is always useful, as it contain infinite of source of information. However, when we looked into those, we find it actually quite difficult to understand. As we need to present it to the class, we have to make it easy to understand, we search in the net. Finally, we find a lot useful information in other website, including youtube. we try also from the library, but it’s quite hard.
What I want to say is that, books are good source, but in this state-of-the-art era ,I am afraid to say internet have already replaced books, as it is very convenience. But one point should pay attention, not all information from internet is true, so if you find something not sure, feel free to ask you teacher, they are always pleased to help you.
We are having a Liberal Studies project on Globalization. It’s hard for our group to find information from informations and books. What we can do is to do surveys.
Hey Posties. How are things going now that you’re back at school? Our featurelite writer is looking for some ideas on things to investigate. We thought it would be great if the feature lites could be more than just a source of information.
So, we want to know what projects you’re working on each term. If we think it’s interesting we’ll do a feature lite on it, and cut down on your research time.
Feature lites are published each Monday and Wednesday in our new easy reading format.
