Good Morning (from) America!

June 15, 2009

Hello young posters! I am Zulia. Your one and only left-handed Ice Hockey Goalie from Hong Kong. It’s nice to meet you all. 🙂

You may have all seen the article in the Young Post about me on June 9th I believe. You may be wondering why – thus the reason for this blog. The South China Morning Post has granted me this blog to keep all of you updated on my adventures in America…!

First, I’m leaving to America to improve my goalie skills. I will be attending five different goalie clinics, one of which is taught by the Chinese National Women’s Olympic Ice Hockey Team goalie coach. I will also be taught by Digit Murphy of Brown University, the number one female university women’s Ice Hockey coach and additionally I will be teaching young children with Joe Bertagna, a former NHL Boston Bruins goalie and USA Olympic coach (phew, that was a mouthful).

Second, it’s my summer! I honestly cannot wait to explore American culture – plays, theatre, art galleries and museums. My father and I will be traveling in and around Chicago, Boston, New York, and Washington DC. We’ll also be popping up to Vancouver, British Columbia and Grande Prairie, Alberta on our way back home. Vancouver is one of my favorite places in the world, and i can’t wait to vegetable my way to the beach on my last days on that side of the world. 🙂

Anyways, this is the end for now. Wish me all the best!

Check me out on Facebook and Youtube, and follow the The Whimsical Adventures of Me!

From,

Zulia.
