Alternative hobbies can benefit us too

By Chong Sze-man, Tsuen Wan Public Ho Chuen Yiu Memorial College

Schools require students to participate in extra-curricular activities and record these in a booklet. The booklet is scored and counts towards our report card. I do not think this is necessary.

It is unreasonable to prevent students indulging in their hobbies. My hobby may not be included in the scheme (for example: comics, pop music, etc), but I can still learn a lot.
