I’m leavin’ it

“I’m lovin’ it”. I believe everyone knows the slogan of McDonald’s, the fast-food chain so loved by Hongkongers.

I usually don’t have my meals at McDonald’s since I know the food is very unhealthy. But I promise to stay awat from its outlets until it changes the way it makes money nowadays.

The fast-food chain usually raises the prices of its food by about a dollar without making any public announcements. Also, different outlets have different prices. And the prices of all the food are not shown on the menu.

I think McDonald’s is cheating its customers.

I don’t think it is wrong to raise prices, but the company should inform the public about the changes.

It’s great to see Young Post readers taking action when they feel they have been unfairly treated. But, in defence of McDonald’s, they do have some healthy meals – you just have to order them. Also, no business will advertise when their prices go up. It’s only sectors which are supervised by the government which have to do that. Usually companies spend a lot of money to tell you that their prices are coming down.

It is interesting that the meals are priced differently in different areas. It probably has something to do with higher shop rentals. McDonald’s has said in the past that it was looking into the issue along with the issue of its priceless menu.
